I logged into my bungie account and also could not see anywhere on my profile where they would state any information regarding the ban or the time frame. It simply says “temporary” yet it has been 3 days now and the ban is still in place. I have been unable to find anything documented anywhere stating the time frame of the “Temporary” bans based on the offense.
My ban was finally lifted 1 week after it was instated. I would venture that this is probably a standard time frame for the first offense of unsportsmanlike conduct.

When Halo: Reach released on PC and console last month as a part of the Master Chief Collection , it brought with it a new battle pass-like progression system for players to earn cosmetics they could use to customize their Spartans. The Banhammer is capable of administering bans automatically   and it keeps extensive records both when a ban is administered  and during the course of normal gameplay; records taken in the latter instance can then be analyzed to detect cheat-related behaviors.
